Applications for defined audio footprints
Panphonics was promoting the business solutions offered by its directional audio technology at ISE. The company’s Sound Shower directional speakers are finding applications linked to digital signage and self-service in retail, transport and restaurants. The technology allows control of the audio footprint, meaning that only people stood within a tightly defined space will be able to hear the audio being played. There are a lot of interesting applications for this technology that solve some of the more troublesome pitfalls of combining digital signage with audio.
When used to boost customer attention, the company quotes a sales increase of up to 300 percent, 10 times more customer attention and doubled ad-revenues for DS operators.
