Hetec's video wall
Up Against the Wall
Hetec's V-Match Hardware Video Wall Controller.
At ISE 2009, Hetec Datensysteme showed off their new video wall: more than 20sqm in size, with various displays of different sizes from various manufacturers combined to shape an oval video wall with break-out displays in the design of a firing sun. This video wall design was realised using Hetec’s V-Match hardware video wall controller.
V-Match is an exclusive hardware that allows the creation of innovative video wall designs. At ISE, the new hardware impressed AV professionals, large screen manufacturers and system integrators alike, who up till now had often had to use special software and complex content creation to realise creative video walls. As hardware, V-Match offers great stability, very simple installation and setup, flexibility in switching and mixing video effects, as well as easy reuse for new installations and 100% real time video performance. Once installed and calibrated, the hardware performs 24/7 and invites the user to interact with the running system: video jockeys can even generate and configure eye-catching video effects live during an event by zooming in and out, mixing, and switching video sources.
For the video sun wall at ISE 2009, video effects were pre-configured and switched automatically with the new Time Line Editor from V-Match, also launched at the show. Automatic switching by timeline is used for stand-alone video walls, simply by switching on the power for displays and media players, and using V-Match to run the video wall. The timeline can be edited locally, as well as remotely, via IP. The same applies for configuring new presets for eye-catching video effects.
