Restaurant chain uses DS solution to beef up its offering
Whitbread-owned restaurant brand Brewers Fayre, has engaged Spectrum Interactive to provide digital signage for its new 'Buffet Place' offering.
With 129 venues across the UK, the new 'all-you-can-eat' themed nights use a combination of flat-screen displays and media players in multiple formats including video, audio, html, static images and animation to entertain and engage customers while they dine.
The system can be accessed remotely as well as locally, giving head office management and individual restaurant staff alike the ability to update and control content.
Initially trialled in a single outlet in 2009, the solution is now rolling out to a total of 77 restaurants across the UK.
Simon Fordham, general manager at Brewers Fayre, High Wycombe said, "Digital signage has been a real hit for us - it holds much more impact than posters or leaflets. Not only do the digital screens give us another way to 'speak to the customer' but they also add to the restaurant's modern and bright appearance".
Spectrum is the UK’s largest independent provider of public wi-fi and related services and works with companies including British Airways, Costa Coffee and Travelodge. Their wi-fi network handles over half a million user sessions a month.
