Cayin has unveiled its fanless, web-based digital signage player, SMPWEB4.  The company states that this media player will provide users with the greatest flexibility in integration and interaction, offering attractive price to performance value.
 
The player, upgraded with the new version of software, can integrate with 3G and GPS technology to provide mobile and place-based solutions. Players installed in moving vehicles can playback contents based on locations. Administrators can also locate each player on Google Maps to gain an instant idea of the overall connection status of all players.
 
Flexibility was paramount for developers. As a web-based digital signage player, it can present multimedia content created by web languages, such as HTML, JavaScript and Flash. It can also be extended to integrate with external digital devices, databases and web servers, such as hotel management and reservation systems, corporate  announcement systems, queuing system for banks and hospitals, and so on.

 
Equipped with Cayin's optimised media player, the product supports most popular image file formats, audio/video codec, and HD video playback. As well as stored video, it can also play live video from a TV receiver, DVD player, or USB camera.
 
The new player is ready for integration with a HID compliance touch panel, making the deployment of interactive public display networks easier.
