netvico

In August 2008, the long-standing collaboration between netvico and Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf (P&C) produced an interesting new project at the fashion retailer’s metropolitan flagship ‘Weltstadthaus’ store at Tauentzienstrasse, Düsseldorf, Germany.

All of the seven P&C department store buildings, designed by internationally-renowned architects, are different to each other. They do have one thing in common, though – they are not just places to shop. They are architectural attractions, urban meeting points and places for new experiences. As such, P&C department stores offer the digital media developed by netvico a good platform on which to exploit the potential of digital signage to its full.

The remodelling of the Berlin department store, designed by Pritziger prize-winner Gottfried Böhm, gave P&C an occasion to implement a comprehensive range of netvico communication technology. In fact, almost the entire netvico product range has been installed, making this a veritable showcase for netvico’s solutions. The solutions installed include nine floor indicators, eight POS displays, 21 light walls in the window and escalator areas, a four-screen display and a movie theatre for children. Since the re-opening of this P&C department store last year, these digital media and lighting effects have made a dramatic contribution to the ambience of the store and the experience enjoyed by its shoppers and visitors.
