Screen NT Singapore digital signage
Screen NT has installed an outdoor sun-light readable LCD display for the new sports campus of the Swiss International School in Singapore.

The 2 meter high display, with a 52 inch LCD sunlight display and built-in Windows PC was installed directly outside the school in November 2009. The digital signage provides live information on school activities, sports results and schedules. It has already weathered the sun, rain and storms during its first few weeks in location.

The school’s Operations Director, Bart Ferwerda, comments, “I am especially pleased that the Screen NT team have built such a solid system - the display has to endure a few kicks from straying soccer balls”.

The principal, Mr. Huerlimann added, “I am so impressed with the performance of the system. It really opens a whole new world of communication to the staff, parents, visitors and most importantly, the children in our school”.

Screen NT's displays are suitable for installation in direct sunlight conditions. They are built to withstand damaging IR/UV radiation, extreme temperatures and vandalism. By cleverly harnessing the power of the sun, the displays also boast lower energy consumption figures.

Having engineered digital signage systems in Germany over the past three years, the company has now entered the Asian market and co-founded a joint venture company in Singapore: Screen-NT (Asia) Pte Ltd. The Swiss International School is therefore just the first of various installations planned for the area.
