Gilbarco Outcast
Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Outcast Media have announced that their petrol pump digital signage solution is to be expanded across America. Applause TV with Outcast is an interactive digital media system integrated into petrol pumps that delivers full motion video and on-demand couponing.

The companies launched the initial program in the top-20 markets in October 2010, and with a significant demand from retailers and advertisers to accelerate distribution, the programme is now available across the US.

“We’ve seen tremendous interest in Applause TV since launching it in select markets late last year,” said Mark Williams, marketing manager, fuel dispenser applications at Gilbarco Veeder-Root. “Applause TV has proven to build customer loyalty and drive sales and traffic; with its low upfront investment and new nationwide access, more retailers than ever before can benefit.”

Applause TV allows retailers to entertain and inform their customers, while providing them with reasons to come inside the store for higher margin purchases. The system delivers third party advertising, retailer advertising, news and entertainment content on the large colour screens embedded within the petrol pump, along with consumer interaction and on-demand coupons at the pump. Fully-managed programming includes content from CBS, ABC, Comedy Central, Warner Bros. Pictures and over twenty other premier content providers, as well as community-orientated content, including Amber Alerts.

"We installed the Applause TV system at our site in March to help drive customers into our new convenience store," stated Zareh Samurkashium, owner of Grand Martco, Inc. "The system has made such a positive impact on our customer base and in-store sales at this first site that we will be adding it to our other locations in the coming months."

“Based on the initial success of Applause TV and strong demand from both retailiers and advertisers, we’re thrilled to work with Gilbarco to expand the platform nationally,” said Matthew Stoudt, CEO of Outcast Media. “This engaging, interactive solution enriches consumer experience by providing compelling content and immediate access to the brand offerings being promoted on the network.”
