Panasonic 20 Series with New NeoPDP
The newly developed 20 series panels are the successor to the 12 series range. The first available are 42” HD, 42” Full HD, and 50” Full HD models. Each one is equipped with new function slots called "Slot 2.0” to support various digital interfaces, full range of video inputs and network functions to control displays through LAN, which is suitable for integration into conference systems with existing displays or projectors as well as multi-screen configurations for more complex digital signage applications. The New Neo PDP technology offers greater brightness with 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio in the Full HD models, lower power consumption and a Nanodrift saver, which reduces screen image retention, prolonging the life span of the display.
“We’ve evolved our NeoPDP technology to cater to the various digital signage and corporate install needs of customers,” comments Enrique Robledo, Panasonic’s Display Marketing Manager in Europe. “We’ve paved the way for large format displays with our 12 series range and the 20 series takes our offering a step further providing a dynamic display for smaller digital signage or corporate applications. The 20 series meets the industry demand for high definition screens that are flexible and light.”
According to a study by FutureSource, the demand for flat panel displays in corporate settings is going to increase by 25% this year, while digital signage will increase by 33%. The 20 Series is designed to cater to the specific requirements of both markets.
Panasonic plans to roll out further models of the 20 series range in the second half of this year.
