The new service offers a ‘zero-configuration’ scheme, allowing entry-level users a way to set up and manage a digital signage network with ease.
Whether your business is retail, franchise stores, public transportation, health care, schools, quick service restaurants, corporate communications, sport venues or gas service stations, the new software has been designed to deliver content at a competitive price and without the complexities of setting up and managing your own network.
The software is easy to use, and it comes with a library of content templates, enabling the user to get professional looking signage up and running in six steps. In addition to the content library provided with the software, additional content can always be added by professional media agencies.
“Never before has setting up a full-featured digital signage player been this easy,” said Gerard Bucas, Scala’s Chief Executive Officer. “We’re incredibly leased to introduce this new service in conjunction with the new Scala certified players from HP. We believe we have achieved a significant breakthrough for the industry.”
The company states that the software is cost-effective, since it produces a powerful impression on the target audience at a fraction of the cost of print.
The HP and Scala solution features a locked-down Microsoft Windows Embedded operating system and a preconfigured player.
Displaying videos, pictures, crawls, interactive Adobe Flash, and ScalaScripts with dynamic text or graphics in any combination up to 1080p allows the system to be used in a range of applications.
The HP SignagePlayers can also be connected to any Scala Content Manager anywhere in the world. Scala and HP will showcase their new product at ISE in February.
