Berliner Fenster Munich network
Berliner Fenster has won the contract to manage content for Munich public transport’s new digital signage network that will be rolled out later this year. Screens will be installed on buses and trains through the city.

By 2014, over 350 trains and 102 trams will have over 2,100 screens installed. Passengers and tourists will be informed and entertained with news about city life, latest cultural events and political, economic and sporting news. The entertainment is expected to shorten the perceived travel times of the passengers, according to Andreas Orth, Managing Director of Berliner Fenster.

For advertisers, it is expected that not only the spread of display and the captive audience time will make them attractive, but also because the network will compare favourably with radio and television media.

Andreas Orth, Managing Director of Berliner Fenster comments, “Munich is seen as the most important city in south Germany room and as the third most important German city, with more than a million inhabitants. This is an important milestone for the expansion of relevant digital signage networks for passengers.”
