Digital signage as information points in Norgren's factory.

Norgren, one of the global leaders for pneumatic solutions, has decided in favour of the editIT/playIT system from Macnetix for the digital signage in its factory in Fellbach. Visitors and employees are greeted at the gate by a digital sign, which provides the latest information including weather updates and forecasts. A second, 40” monitor is found in the conference area of Norgren and serves as a presentation surface and overview panel for the occupancy of the seminar rooms. The four conference rooms themselves also have digital door signs that provide information about the respective events which are in process and upcoming.

“With the completion of our new conference centre, we have moved from paper signs to digital signage,“ said Christoph Bloos, system administrator at Norgren.

The use of Macnetix software meant that employees were able to operate the system with only brief instructions and training. The entry of the data and content that appears on the monitors takes place centrally, and can be changed or modified at any time. Furthermore, an interface that works with Outlook ensures the up to date constant exchange of appointment information.

Macnetix were also able to answer Norgren’s questions quickly. “Due to the professional support, unclear matters can be dealt with quickly and uncomplicatedly online. This means an enormous time savings,” Bloos continued.
