LG has incorporated smart technologies into its range of digital security products, which include surveillance cameras, video recorders, security monitors, accessories and access control.

LG initially built its foundations in the security business with high quality analogue cameras, but has now moved to a fully-digital suite of products. LG employs the H.264 Codec and eXtreme Dynamic Image & Intelligent (XDI) technology to offer more advanced monitoring solutions.

Integrating LG’s unique design with innovative technology such as dual streaming, full duplex audio, and VCA (Video Contents Analysis) in its range of IP cameras, the LG security business is at the cutting edge of the industry. Some of the key differentiators that set LG security apart from competitors include:

  • Outstanding video quality and high resolution by employing the latest H.264 Codec
  • Dual-streaming capabilities for customised bandwidth management using the H.264 and MJPEG codecs
  • Superior performance in backlit or low-light conditions thanks to LG XDI chip
  • Full Duplex Audio using G.711(a-law, u-law), and G.726
  • Smart Station can manage up to 64 cameras
  • Support for four different types of power (AC 24V, DC 12V, PoE, AC230V)

LG offers a range of high quality LCD and CRT monitors designed specifically for surveillance applications. LG’s proven expertise in display technology has been harnessed for the security industry in the form of the LG security monitor. These monitors are designed to harness the quality of LG displays to compliment LG’s range of security solutions.
