LG Electronics Business Solutions is targeting SMB retailers and channel operations with easy-to-use, cost effective displays that deliver high-quality results.

As well as new display technologies for retail, and new commercial TV offerings aimed at the leisure and healthcare sectors, LG also presented its recently enhanced channel program that aims to improve the delivery of information, support and services to LG’s channel partners across Europe.

“Although LG has a very long B2B heritage and has strong, established relationships with resellers, service providers and distributors in this sector, the Business Solutions division was only established as a dedicated unit of LG in December 2008.  This was with the specific aim of aggressively growing our market share in this area, as well as increasing focus and investment in developing solutions with the specific needs of the retail, leisure, healthcare, education or transport customer in mind.  At ISE we will showcase some of our new line-up of business solutions for retail display, which are the result of considerable research and customer insight,” explains Luc Grare, Director of LG Business Solutions for Europe.

LG launched a new Business Solutions Partner Programme and Portal in the UK last year in order to develop its B2B channel and create opportunities for UK-based resellers and integrators/solution providers to supply LG’s leading business solutions to B2B customers.

A central feature of the programme is the new LG Business Solutions Partner Portal, which gives partners access to sales and marketing campaigns and materials, technical support, product information, benefits and reward programmes, profile management tools, news and events from LG and enhanced communication with the LG sales team.

LG Business Solutions provides a wide range of hardware, software and services as standalone or packaged solutions, each designed to address the requirements of specific sectors and sizes of business operation.  The focus of LG’s European team is on developing LG’s Commercial Display and Hotel TV business, as well as continuing to retain its strong position in computer monitors and further establishing and building LG’s Security Systems business.  Along with the new display solutions showcased, LG also launched a new monitor for PC display.

Grare concludes: “LG Business Solutions experienced strong growth in 2009, 12% vs 2008 in the middle of a recession, and we expect to continue to grow our business in 2010 and beyond through a combination of leading technology, innovation, and continued developments and improvements to our services offerings and channel support systems.  Our customers will continue to benefit from having the world’s second largest producer of flat-screen TV’s – and a recognised leader in technology innovation and design, brought together with over thirty years experience in delivering best-in-class solutions to businesses across the world and across multiple sectors”.
