A shopping mall in Prague, Palace Flora, has installed three of Panasonic’s 103” plasma screens to create a huge advertising space. This set of plasma screens is owned and operated by the advertising agency Bonuss-Cz.
 
As well as incorporating top display technology, the installation is also special in its creative solution, as the three screens are connected in a 3D triangle which is hung from the ceiling of the shopping mall. The director of Bonuss-Cz, Klára Choulíková, claimed, “This set-up is absolutely unique even in the global context of modern digital advertising.”
 
The digital signage will be used to deliver advertising to the visitors of Palace Flora that is in an attractive format, with high quality full HD, high rendering of colours and faithful reproduction of motion graphics.
 
Because of the high levels of ambient light in the shopping mall, the screens had to be equipped with a special anti-reflective layer to prevent glare obscuring the content.
 
The content is transmitted to plasma panels from a computer with control software, which allows for remote control of content via the internet. High resolution data is transmitted through cables to all three displays without any loss of the quality of the source data, so that the system can retain the full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080.
 
Klára Choulíková summarised, “The quality of presentation in such a resolution will astonish every spectator. That’s the reason why most of our clients using this unique advertising medium have decided to develop a special version of their video spots for Palace Flora – they will be directly in full HD.”

Their newly built Production Centre in Barcelona is now the proud owner of the world’s largest plasma display video wall. The Panasonic 103” full HD displays have been installed in a 3 x 3 matrix in the reception area of their new offices.
 
Passersby are captivated by the impressive branded videos which have been made in-house, showing dynamic moving images promoting the company’s activities. The sheer size of the video wall is visually impressive; it is the first 3 x 3 install of this product, showing that Mediapro are using cutting edge AV to the full.
 
The video wall can be seen from the street, right in the centre of the Poblenou district, which is Barcelona’s new architecturally ambitious urban renovation. The installation instantly draws attention to Mediapro’s arrival in the area and emphasizes their position in Spain’s media industry.
 
“The 103inch Plasma Display was chosen because of its evident wow-factor. Mediapro wanted something different in their impressive new headquarters,” commented Mr Vincent Slevin of Panasonic Spain.
