Advancements in processors, in multimedia capabilities of software operating systems, and in networking technology make delivering and driving dynamic content over a network of display-integrated signage terminals a compelling alternative to non-integrated displays that require inefficient computing units, often mounted in difficult-to-service locations. Collevo Inc. has announced total-solution products for digital signage, with two embedded monitor solutions named Large-Size Panel PC and Signage PC  display, offering customers a complete system for a wide variety of diverse applications. Collevo has announced the introduction of another embedded computing platform, the IPC-X, which has been designed and created for their large LCD PC Embedded  Monitor Solution to give customers more choices regarding display computing power.

IPC-X is configured with the high-performance Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13GHz processor, along with the Intel Q965/ICH8 chipset, and supports from 512MB up to 4GB of high-speed DDRII system memory. It also features the Intel Q965 integrated graphic subsystem (GMA3000) and is equipped with an internal drive bay for 3.5” SATA HDD (80GB default). For input/ output connection, it includes two PS/2 connectors,  dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN, four USB 2.0 ports and two DB-9 serial ports.

With IPC-X, the Large-Size LCD PC of the Embedded Monitor Solution can also be integrated with the Windows XP Embedded operating system and SAW or IR touch panels to  meet specific customer  requirements.

Collevo also groups together useful management utilities to satisfy a wide range of requirements – installers can design the system with greater flexibility and scalability to their own specifications. The Embedded Monitor Solution also provides project owners with versatile applications corresponding to different business models from emerging markets.
