Outdoor Digital Bulletin Boards
The boards were produced as the result of collaboration between Zytronic and Power Products to create a durable interactive display that could withstand vandalism and adverse weather conditions.
The system’s suitability to these conditions is enabled by Zytronic’s PCT projected capacitive sensing mechanism. PCT can be operated from behind a thick glass or polycarbonate overlay to protect the screen from scratches, impact and changes in temperature. PCT is made up of a matrix of micro-fine capacitors embedded within a laminated glass substrate, which also makes it immune to sensor drift over time
“We selected Zytronic’s Zybrid product as the PCT sensing technology is capable of detecting touch even through thick anti-vandal glass, allowing the touchscreen assembly to remain safe from damage and other potential sources of harm,” explained Power Products’ Sales and Technical Director, Tomas Pav.
