Innova Turk Telecom digital signage

42” Sony Full HD LCD screens and 32” Vestel LCD screens with HD resolution are used in the Türk Telekom dealerships.

Kiosk Innova has signed up the largest digital signage network in Turkey, which will broadcast at over 1,300 points.

One of the biggest ten telecom operators in the world, Türk Telekom made the decision to equip its over 1,300 dealers with the digital signage network as a part of a large scale transformation project. With the devices that will be installed throughout this dealer network (representing 17.3 million fixed lines, 6 million ADSL lines and 12.6 million GSM subscribers), Türk Telekom will gain the capacity for more effective communication with its customers.

The project will be rolled out at over 1,300 points in Turkey’s 81 cities, with the work being carried out by one of Turkey’s leading kiosk and digital signage solutions providers, Kiosk Innova. Within the scope of the agreement signed between Kiosk Innova and Türk Telekom, procurement of all components, installation, integration, and all forms of support necessary for the sound operation of the system will be executed by Kiosk Innova. Additionally, Kiosk Innova’s digital signage team will deliver the necessary training to Türk Telekom personnel, as well as providing support in content management for six months as the pilot setup starts.

Installations have already commenced and the project is targeted to be completed by the end of 2010 in parallel with the store renovations. Türk Telekom’s primary aim in this project is to organise effective campaigns by diversifying the products and services and targeting varying user types living in different regions of the country. The company wanted to be able to advertise these campaigns to the target groups in a striking way. They also had the aim to increase the sales effectiveness of its dealers by implementing digital signage. Türk Telekom will have an interface whereby it can manage notifications and content separately at each one of its dealers through the central content management system.

The dealers make up the public image of Türk Telekom: their store design and visual image will also be renewed alongside this project. Digital displays complemented by panels designed to blend with the corporate identity of Türk Telekom will ensure that the dealers will represent Türk Telekom in the best possible manner.

42” Sony Full HD LCD screens and 32” Vestel LCD screens with HD resolution are used in the dealers depending on the classification of the specific dealer. Content which is centrally prepared is shown on these displays. Powering the displays on or off at certain hours, voice settings, and other functions can be controlled remotely.

HP computers, used as media players, run continuously connected to the central servers. While the central management and monitoring of the system is operated via three HP servers, located at Türk Telekom data center in Ankara, authorised users are able to access the system from any computer with an internet connection.

In this system, Scala InfoChannel 5 software platform is the preferred content management solution. Reporting and auditing can be done on an individual dealer basis or a flexible grouping basis encompassing specific areas and cities. The status of the whole system can be monitored instantly on special displays and necessary interventions can be performed remotely.
